These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of skilltrackr. — written “skilltrackr” in the rest of this document — accessible at my.skilltrackr.app. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use skilltrackr. These terms apply to all users — coaches and athletes alike. Questions? Contact us at hello@skilltrackr.app

1. The service

skilltrackr is a coaching management platform that allows coaches to create and assign structured training programs, and athletes to track their progress in real time. The platform is provided as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and is accessible from any modern browser.

skilltrackr includes a free plan that is permanent, not a trial. Paid plans add analysis and time-saving tools; the exact contents of each plan are described on the pricing page at skilltrackr.app.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users in advance of significant changes.

2. Accounts & eligibility

Acceptance. By creating an account and using skilltrackr, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service. These terms are available at any time from this page, and the date at the top tells you which version is in force.

To use skilltrackr, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

  • You must be at least 15 years old to create an account on your own. This is the age of digital consent in France (Article 45 of the French Data Protection Act).
  • Minors under 15 may use skilltrackr only with the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf and remains responsible for their use of the platform.
  • Coaches inviting a minor warrant that they have obtained the consent of that athlete's parent or legal guardian before adding them to the platform, and remain responsible for that verification.
  • You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent.
  • You may not share your account with another person.
  • You must notify us immediately at hello@skilltrackr.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these terms.

3. Coach & athlete roles

skilltrackr operates with two distinct user roles, each with specific responsibilities:

RoleResponsibilities
Coach Coaches are responsible for the content they create (exercises, programs, plans, notes) and for ensuring it is appropriate for the athletes they assign it to. Coaches must obtain consent from their athletes — and, for minors, from a parent or legal guardian — before adding them to the platform.
Athlete Athletes are responsible for the accuracy of the progress data they enter, including their personal records and their perceived-effort ratings. Athletes acknowledge that their training data will be visible to every coach they are attached to.

What only the athlete can write: personal records and perceived-effort ratings are entered by the athlete alone. A coach can read them but cannot create, edit or delete them — a personal best entered by someone else is not a personal best, and an effort rating is by definition the judgement of the person who did the session. Coaches must not ask an athlete to record a rating they did not feel.

Prescriptions: a coach may attach a prescription to an exercise — sets, a value, a unit and a load, such as 4 × 12 at 60 kg. That prescription is training content created by the coach, under the coach's responsibility, as set out below. It is an instruction, not a medical recommendation.

Several coaches: an athlete may be attached to more than one coach. Every attached coach sees the same training data, exercises, tasks and progress for that athlete. An athlete accepts each attachment individually and may detach a coach at any time from their account settings; doing so ends that coach's access.

The coach–athlete relationship on skilltrackr is professional in nature. skilltrackr is not responsible for the quality, safety, or appropriateness of any training program created by a coach.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use skilltrackr only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable laws. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Using the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
  • Attempting to access another user's account or data without authorization.
  • Uploading or transmitting any content that is harmful, offensive, abusive, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the platform's code or infrastructure.
  • Using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the platform.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the platform's servers, networks, or security features.
  • Reselling or sublicensing access to the platform to third parties.

5. Content & intellectual property

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you create on skilltrackr — exercises, training programs, notes, and progress data. By using the platform, you grant skilltrackr a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Our content: All other elements of the platform — including the name, logo, interface design, underlying code, and technical architecture — are the exclusive property of skilltrackr. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

Linked videos: an exercise may carry a link to a video hosted elsewhere — YouTube, Vimeo, a drive, your own site. We never host, copy or store the video itself, only its address. Whoever adds the link is responsible for it: for having the right to point to that content, and for the content being lawful and appropriate for the athlete it is assigned to. We do not review linked videos. A link may stop working at any time if the video is moved, made private or deleted at its source, and that is outside our control. Playing an embedded video contacts the platform that hosts it — see our Privacy Policy.

Feedback: If you submit suggestions or feedback about the platform, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

6. Subscriptions, trial & payments

Free plan: skilltrackr's free plan is permanent and has no time limit. It covers exercise groups and exercises without any quantity cap, the task manager, and coach–athlete messaging. No payment information is required to use it.

Coach trial: new coach accounts receive a 30-day trial of the Pro plan, with no payment information required. We send a reminder by email 3 days before the end of the trial, and again on the day it ends. When the trial ends without a subscription, the account moves to the free plan: no data is deleted and the account is never paused — paid features become unavailable and the roster is limited to one athlete until a plan is chosen. Athlete accounts do not have a trial: they are free permanently.

Paid subscriptions: Paid plans are offered on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are displayed on the pricing page at skilltrackr.app at the time of purchase. By subscribing, you authorise skilltrackr to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the frequency you selected (monthly or annually). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details.

Coach-funded athletes: where a coach's plan covers the athletes attached to them, those athletes receive the corresponding paid features at no cost to themselves for as long as the coach's subscription remains active. If the coach's subscription ends, those athletes return to the free plan without losing any data.

Changing plan (upgrade and downgrade): You may change plan at any time from your account settings. Changes are prorated. When you move to a more expensive plan, you are charged only the difference for the days remaining in the current period. When you move to a less expensive plan, the unused value of the period you have already paid for is not refunded in money: it is placed on your account as a credit balance held by our payment processor and applied automatically to your next invoices, until it is used up.

A credit balance has no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be paid out. It is lost if you subsequently cancel your subscription entirely or delete your account without having used it. Consider this before downgrading in the middle of a paid period — cancelling at the end of the period costs you nothing, downgrading mid-period converts what you have already paid into credit rather than money.

Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. For annual subscriptions, and in accordance with Article L.215-1 of the French Consumer Code, we inform you by email of the possibility not to renew, no earlier than three months and no later than one month before the renewal date. You can cancel automatic renewal at any time from your account settings, which open the Stripe customer portal, or by contacting hello@skilltrackr.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you retain access to paid features until then, and your account then moves to the free plan.

Failed payments: if a payment fails, your access to paid features is not cut off immediately. Stripe retries the payment over a period of approximately two weeks and we notify you by email so you can update your card. Access to paid features ends only if the payment remains unresolved at the end of that period.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers — 14 days): In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 calendar days of the date of purchase, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, notify us by email at hello@skilltrackr.app before the 14-day period expires. If you asked for the service to start during that period and you then withdraw, you owe an amount proportionate to the service already provided, in accordance with Article L.221-25 of the Consumer Code.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, send us an email to hello@skilltrackr.app with the subject line "Withdrawal — [your account email]" within 14 days of your purchase. We will confirm receipt and issue any refund due within 14 days of being informed of your decision.

Refunds outside the withdrawal period: After the 14-day withdrawal window, subscriptions are non-refundable except in cases of proven technical failure on our part preventing access to the service for a continuous period exceeding 7 days. Requests are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under French law.

Price changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Any change will be communicated by email at least 30 days in advance and will never apply to a period already paid for. If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect without penalty.

VAT: All prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable tax — the amount you see is the amount charged. skilltrackr is operated by a French micro-entrepreneur currently benefiting from the VAT exemption scheme (franchise en base de TVA — Article 293 B of the French Tax Code), so no VAT is currently charged and none appears on your invoice. Should this status change, the displayed price remains the amount charged and the applicable VAT is extracted from it: your subscription price will not increase as a result.

Invoices: an invoice is issued for every payment and remains available from your account settings.

7. Availability & limitations

We aim to keep skilltrackr available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or events beyond our control.

skilltrackr is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law and without prejudice to the statutory guarantee of conformity owed to consumers under Articles L.217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Offline use: skilltrackr installs like a native app, but an internet connection is required to load and update your data. Changes made while offline are not stored and must be re-entered once the connection is restored.

skilltrackr is a tool to support coaching — it is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or physical therapy advice. Coaches and athletes use the platform at their own risk.
Prescriptions and effort ratings. The platform records numbers — sets, repetitions, loads in kilograms, durations, distances, and a perceived-effort rating from 1 to 10. skilltrackr does not generate, validate, adapt or check any of them: it stores what a coach prescribes and what an athlete reports, and displays it back. It is not a medical device, and the effort rating is a subjective self-assessment, not a physiological measurement. Deciding whether a load or a volume is appropriate for a given athlete on a given day is the coach's judgement and responsibility. Stop and seek medical advice if you feel pain, discomfort or unusual symptoms — no figure shown in this application should be followed against how you feel.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, skilltrackr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to skilltrackr in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, in particular in cases of gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or personal injury.

9. Account termination & data retention

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting hello@skilltrackr.app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your account, exercises, tasks, messages and progress history are erased from our live systems as soon as you confirm. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten.

Two exceptions, both required by law: invoices are retained for 10 years in accordance with Article L.123-22 of the French Commercial Code, and records of consent are retained for the duration required to evidence compliance. These records are detached from your account and no longer used to identify you as a user.

If you delete a coach account, the athletes attached to you are not deleted: they keep their own accounts and data, and simply become unattached.

Any credit balance remaining on your account at the time of deletion is lost, as set out in section 6.

For full details, see our Privacy Policy. For cookie information, see our Cookie Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms of Use, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation. In cases of serious breach (fraud, abuse, unauthorized access), termination may be immediate. Where an account is terminated by us for a breach, any remaining paid period is not refunded.

10. Governing law, mediation & disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with French law. In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@skilltrackr.app so we can resolve the matter amicably.

Consumer mediation: in accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, a consumer may refer a dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator where the complaint has not been resolved directly with the professional within one month. The details of the mediator competent for skilltrackr are published on this page and provided on request at hello@skilltrackr.app.

If no amicable or mediated resolution is reached, any dispute shall be brought before the competent French courts. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the court of the place where you resided at the time the contract was concluded or where the harmful event occurred, in accordance with Article R.631-3 of the French Consumer Code.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and update the effective date at the top of this page. If you do not accept the revised terms, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account before they take effect. Your continued use of skilltrackr after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

We recommend reviewing this page periodically. The current version is always available at skilltrackr.app/terms.
